THE FIRE TREE

Name Origin: In the fall, the leaves go red. This is the meeting place for the pack. It is said that the tree glows from the sun at night.

DANGERS:

- Bears
- Coyotes

ADVANTAGES:

- This a place of peace
- Hares
- Rabbits
- Ground Hogs

JIRUKU

Jiruku stared up at the tree in front of him. It gave him an eerie sense of peace, but also of loneliness. There was not a sound, but then a nightingale's sweet song fluttered over to him, engulfing him in it beauty. He felt as though he could stay here forever, near this tree, listening to the song of the nightingale. He went to the tree, and lay under its straying branches, flung in all different directions, but all reaching to the starry night sky. The moon shone on the tree, and it seemed to glow.
He blinked.
Was the tree glowing? He blinked once more. He was sure of it now, it was glowing! He gaped at the mysterious tree. As he did, he was once again filled with the feeling of staying here forever, under the night sky. He sat up, and howled low to the moon. He always howled when he was happy. When he was done, he wondered where the nightingale had run off to. With a start, he realized he may have scared it, and now he truly was alone! But just when he began to believe it, the sweet song came to him again, and he was filled with ease. For a moment, he wanted nothing more than to sit with Kira, here, in this peace. To look into her eyes...
He shook the thought, and lay down. He was alone, and he had to face it.

She was looking for him for quite awhile but she still hasn't found him. She was trying to get another whiff off the air to see where his scent was heading too.
"So that way was where I came from..."
She trails off before she notices a bright light from behind her. She quickly shook and turned around to see where it as coming from and to her surprise it had came from the tree that was located in a middle of that particular part of the forest. Kira gasps as the beauty of the tree lay on to her, as it shone. Though she was still quite far from it, the glow was still visible to her.
"Where is this place?"
She asked to herself, then sighs as she just realized that she as alone and no one would be able to answer her questions. Her self pitying stopped as she perked her ears up to listen to a sweet song of a bird. She didn't know what it was but it sounded breathtakingly beautiful. The melody had taken up her anxiety and replaced them with pure bliss.
"It's been awhile but here I go! .."
Smiling before she howled to the birds astounding song. Letting her smooth and velvety voice out, as if to sing with the bird. She suddenly stopped as she heard another howl. It was a deep and low-toned, alluring voice. It was from a male but she knew who it was.
"Jiruku.." She whispered his name, under her breath.

JIRUKU

Jiruku heard another howl in the distance, which sounded strangely feminine, but it was smooth and sweet to his ears. He wondered if this female wolf ws experiencing the same tranquility he was. But then with a sudden burst of joy he realized that the she-wolf must be Kira! He jumped up and raced in the direction of the howl. He had no idea why he did this, only that he wanted to see her, and talk to her. When he got to a certain point he lifted his head to the air and searched for Kira's sweet scent, a scent that delighted him. When he found it he ran after it, as if it would disappear. hen he found where she was he stopped in front of her.
"Hi, Kira," He whispered, "Isn't it lovely?"
He looked at her, smiling. it had been a while since he felt such bliss. He felt he could stay here forever, by the glowing tree, howling to the lone nightingale...

"Isn't it lovely?"

She was startled but then his voice made her calm down regardless. She couldn't help but feel the overwhelming emotion of happiness engulf her every being as she saw him stand before her. She was shaking, as well as crying but it wasn't because she was sad. Nothing but pure bliss had taken over her mind. She pounced on him yelling out 'I'm sorry' to his face as she pinned him down to the ground.

She calmed down and finally removed herself from him. "I'm sorry..." She said in a weak voice.

JIRUKU

Jiruku stifled a laugh as Kira tackled him to the ground. When she got off, he stood up, shaking his fur.
"Its alright." He answered softly, looking into her eyes.
He turned slowly, facing the tree. He stared at its glowing figure before a smell wafted toward him. He instantly felt his muscles stiffen in response to the smell. He looked at Kira, a worried look pictured in his face.
"Male wolf."

Orion stares at the red tree, she places her paw on the trunk, then leans on it, starting to climb (yes, a wolf climbing a tree). She is on the top, as she stares at the confused creatures below her, she waits for her next victim.
